A chocolaty spin on a golden milk latte! This hot chocolate golden milk is rich, creamy, and smooth. It's the perfect treat that's super good for you!
Place all ingredients in blender (like a Vitamix) and blend until smooth. In a high-speed blender, this should be about 20-30 seconds.
Heat 1-2 cups in a small saucepan over medium or medium-high heat until hot (be careful not to scorch your milk).* Then let cool until it's a comfortable drinking temperature and enjoy, stirring frequently as the turmeric can settle.
Place the rest in an airtight container and store in the fridge. When ready to drink another portion, heat in a small saucepan over medium or medium-high heat until just boiling. It'll store in fridge for 48-72 hours.
*Or any nuts/nut butter you have on hand, really. Cashews, almonds, and pecans would work well too. This is the necessarily healthy fat needed to absorb fat-soluble turmeric. I enjoy the richness of walnuts, but I think cashews would make it even creamier. Let me know how you try it below!
**I know. It sounds gross for hot chocolate. But some is necessary to help make the turmeric the most bioavailable when consumed. If you're not concerned with that, feel free to add very little or skip it altogether.
***Or don't heat this and drink it cold like a chocolate milk! Either way is good.
